100% original old Russian —–The dial translates Nikolai Linden.————-pre-Revolution Russian————–Nikolai Linden Jewelry Company. was a St. Petersburg Firm that was associated with Faberge (founded in 1892)
Wow, now I am really stumped.
The dial translates Nikolai Linden.
I agree, most likely a company name or even maybe local watchmaker.
The movement has me blocked – the A & R = Avancer & Retard (the regulator speed of the watch). Sometimes accompanied by F & S = Fast & Slow.
If this is pre-Revolution Russian, then this would be Swiss French and the A & R work out perfectly.
In French/Swiss French the V may possibly = vite (quickly).
Still cannot figure out N.
POSSIBLY it may be negatif – thought that may be stretching it.
I will have to go to a higher authority………
Thanks so much,,
